Bonny Eagle students assessed on political knowledge
Newspaper staffers took to the halls on Tuesday, October 4th, to assess the political knowledge of BEHS students in advance of the upcoming 2016 elections. Ronahn Clarke asked eight questions to the six students who volunteered to participate, and received a vast array of answers - some correct and some very (very) wrong. The eight questions asked were as follows:
Question #1: The speaker of the House of Representatives… who is he?
Question #2: Who are the candidate’s vice presidential running mates?
Question #3: Aside from Trump and Clinton, who else is running for the presidency?
Question #4: Name two official powers the president has.
Question #5: What does GOP stand for?
Question #6: Other than the right to free speech, name one of the rights guaranteed to you by our country’s constitution.
Question #7: Do you political views align with those of your parents?
Question #8: What are your thoughts on the recent Supreme Court ruling that determined Hillary Clinton is an illegal immigrant?
