Join the Eagle Times
The Eagle Times is always looking for active and participatory contributors.
Here are some steps you can take if you'd like to get involved!
(1) Attend one of our weekly meetings (Room 210B). We normally meet on
Tuesdays, but it would be a good idea to email Ms. Lannin beforehand
to make sure you won't arrive to an empty and locked room.
(2) Add journalism to your class selection sheet. Students who take journalism
are very likely to get some of their work published in the newspaper. Taking
journalism is also a solid option for those who find themselves unable to stay
after school.
(3) If you're looking to write for the newspaper about a focused topic, you can
email Ms. Lannin to let us know. We routinely publish "independent" editorials.
Please keep in mind that the newspaper is subject to administrative review.
(4) Get in touch with someone whose name appeared in the last edition of the
paper. While you may think it's easier to approach someone you know, all of
the newspaper staff should be helpful and informative.
