Goodbye, Mr. Hodsdon!
BY RONAHN CLARKE
On Sept. 16, Bonny Eagle students and staff assembled to thank and wave goodbye to Mr. Kyle Hodsdon, who was (for three years) Bonny Eagle High School’s athletic director. Mr. Hodsdon recently made the tough decision to resign, and said his primary reason for doing so was to reduce his commute from his each day by 50 minutes.
Mr. Hodsdon is leaving BEHS to accept the athletic director position at Newburyport High School in Massachusetts. Newburyport is in the final stages of a $3.3 million 5,500 seat stadium renovation. Nevertheless Mr. Hodsdon said in a parting email that he “will probably still get the chills when… [he sees the words] SCOTS WIN!” |
My three year... [tenure] at Bonny Eagle has been a great experience both personally and professionally,” Mr. Hodsdon said in an email to BEHS coaches. “The coaching staff and community accepted me as one of… [their] own and I truly felt the pride [of] being associated with this district.”
It may take some time for a permanent replacement is hired, but Mr. Hodsdon said Bob Bourget, game supervisor, is “more than qualified to run the daily operations of the athletic department” in the meantime.
