Community will gather to mourn recent graduate's passing

Family, friends and former classmates will gather tomorrow to mourn the passing of Regan Matthew McCleary, 19, whose tragic drowning a week ago in Orono shocked and saddened those who knew him from his BEHS days.
A sophomore at the University of Maine, Regan, was known at BEHS for his soccer skills and his personal style. His mother told the Portland Press Herald that her son took every math class offered, was a member of his class’s prom court, and played saxophone in the jazz band. A four-year varsity soccer player, he excelled at a variety of positions, moving from forward to defensive midfielder and eventually captaining the Bonny Eagle team.

Visiting hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Gorham Sports Center, 215 Narragansett St., Gorham. Masks will be required. Attendees are asked to exit the building after paying their respects.
