The boys indoor track team was honored for its good sportsmanship at the State championship meet Feb. 12. In addition, senior Zack Allocca, second from left, came in first in the triple jump earning a gold medal.

Senior guard Samantha Averill won a Varsity Maine award from the Portland Press Herald for her outstanding play against Noble High School in the SMAA regional quarterfinals two weeks ago. Sam scored 22 points as the Scots avenged a regular-season loss by beating Noble 56-35. The Lady Scots ended their season 12-7. Sam was a four-year varsity player.

Junior guard Zach Maturo earned the Most Valuable Player award in the Class AA South regional tournament. In three Class AA regional playoff games he increased his average to 20 points per game, from 17 ppg. during the regular season. Maturo helped Bonny Eagle win that tournament and move on to the state championship game against Bangor, where he scored 19 points as BEHS lost to Bangor 58-48.
Junior Colby Frost won the state championship in the 120-pound category at the State Wrestling Championships Feb. 16. Colby's brother Caden Frost, a freshman, pictured below, came in second in the States. Another brother, Cameron, placed fourth.
